Deer Birth Control on Tuesday's BoT Agenda in Hastings

The board will convene at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Village Hall.

In the Hastings Board of Trustees agenda for Tuesday, June 5 is a discussion about deer control in the village.

According to Mayor Peter Swiderski: "Professor Alan Rutberg has just sent me a completed draft application for a permit to try an experimental course of immuno-contraception in Hastings. I was going to bring it up and discuss the key features in it..." tomorrow.

Swiderski said Rutberg "is likely to come before the Board and community to discuss the proposal later this summer."

However, this will not likely happen this winter but the following one, in part because Rutberg awaits approval for the particular formulation of PZP (an immuno-contraception) he wants to try.
