At Friday Night Live, Hastings-on-Hudson Alumni Association pays tribute to music teacher and jazz luminary with concert featuring his star jazz students from Hastings High School.

One mark of a great music teacher is the success of his students. Peter DeLuke's legacy was evident at Friday Night Live as he performed jazz standards with his former students from Hastings High School, who took a break from their gigs on Broadway and the international stage to perform a tribute concert.

Hundreds of people converged on Boulanger Plaza Amphitheater for the Yellow Jacket Jam, some of them inspired by their teacher to become lifelong music lovers. Hastings Mayor Peter Swiderski read a proclamation declaring it Peter DeLuke Day.

The event was presented by the Hastings-on-Hudson Alumni Association and Hastings Friday Night Live.
