Mercy College baseball

The East Coast Conference office released the ECC Baseball preseaon poll and rankings, in which Mercy College was picked to finish sixth in the seven-team league.

The Mercy College women's lacrosse team was picked to finish fourth in the nine-team ECC this spring, the ECC office officially announced today (Feb. 10).

College News From Dick Miller
Basketball:
Lisa Bucci (Irv.'10) scored 5 points on 2 baskets plus a foul point, and had 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in Salve Regina's 58-31 win over hosts Wentworth on the 8th.
After having lost to Dowling in their first meeting, 59-51, the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans evened up things at the Lions' basketball court on the 8th, with Riley Harrington (Irv. '10) helping the cause with 5 points on a bucket and a trey, plus having 1 steal in the 49-38 win.
In a 79-74 win over guests Clarkson on the 7th, Skidmore's Kevin Dahill (D.H. '10) had 8 points on 2 layups, 1 trey, and 1 foul point, in addition to having 2 boards in the game.
In an 82-81 overtime loss at Western Ct. on the 7th, that was decided with a 1 second left by a host's layup, Nick Nedwick ('09) of Eastern Ct., rang up 17 points on 7 baskets and 1 trey, plus having 2 rebounds, a game high of 5 assists, and 2 steals on the night.
