Presentation on Hastings Deer Population Control Thursday

An information session will be held for the public and those who would like to volunteer for the effort.

The Rivertowns will get an inside look into Hastings-on-Hudson’s experiment to control its deer population using immuncontraception on Thursday.

Those who would like to volunteer for the effort will meet with Tufts professor Dr. Allen Rutberg, who has conducted studies on immunocontraception to control suburban deer populations, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Village Board meeting room/Court room at village hall, 7 Maple Ave.

Rutberg will then give a presentation on the experiment for the public at 7 p.m. in the same location. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions at the meeting.
