No contest - the CLOWNS rule! Whether you find them funny or scary, it ain't a circus unless it's got CLOWNS!!

I don't like any circus that forces wild animals to perform for human entertainment.

I like when circuses use bullhooks and cattle prods on intelligent, complex social animals who have been ripped from their natural environment and tortured to perform unnatural and painful tricks for idiots who like shiny things.

P.S. google Royal Hanneford Circus animal abuse and see the host of citations the USDA has given the circus. Shame on the Patch for promoting this vile practice.

I think it is shameful that Yorktown Patch would promote this atrocity. That people take their children to this is even more bizarre. Maybe one day the elephants will stampede and the tigers will eat someone...then maybe people will understand the cruelty of a circus.

What a shame that humans find joy in the suffering of animals. Don't believe the circus hype, animals in the circus are not, "happy" or "content". They are abused on a regular basis and what's worse is that it's excepted in the circus culture. Would we allow humans to be treated this way? I don't think so. Would we allow people to come into our homes and treat our dogs this way? No. If you treated my dog the way they treat the big cats, elephants and other animals you would be a very sorry individual. I guarantee it.

Originally I would have voted for the clowns as my favorite thing about the circus but after thinking about it, the beautiful performing animals are great. It's amazing to see the trainers make them do all kind of fantastic tricks for our enjoyment.
