Spring, Summer Highlight Fight Against Cancer in Lower Hudson Valley

Relay for Life is a very popular way for folks around here to support the American Cancer Society.

This spring and summer bring a slew of Relay for Life events to the region.

Pace University family and friends raised more than $50,000 on April 26.

Last Saturday included events at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua and at the Hackley School in Tarrytown. Combined, the two events had some 80 teams and 667 participants who raised more than $178,940 beforehand.

There are R4Ls in Somers and New Rochelle on May 31 and one in Mahopac June 1. There's one for Rye Brook and Port Chester June 15. The annual Relay for Life in Ossining, held at the Anne M. Dorner Middle School, is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. June 16.

Can't make it to those? Want to donate? Find these and other events using the tools on this American Cancer Society webpage.
