Community Workshop in Hastings; Pen and Ink Drawings in Irvington

1. Hastings-on-Hudson Community Workshop: The Hastings-on-Hudson Board of Education will hold a regularly scheduled public meeting Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m., which includes a “community workshop.” For more information, click here

2. Life Lines: Pen and Ink Drawings by William F. Stifel: "Life Lines," pen and ink drawings by William F. Stifel, will be on exhibit at the Irvington Public Library from Monday, Jan. 6 through Jan. 31. Gallery hours are the following: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. An artist's reception will be held on Saturday, January 11th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Irvington Public Library, 12 South Astor Street, Irvington, NY.  (914) 591-7840.

3. Not warm quite yet: While today won’t be quite as cold as yesterday, don’t put away that winter coat just yet. Wind chills are expected to reach a low of 6 degrees below zero before temperatures begin to rise overnight into Thursday.
