Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Rivertowns:

1. The Hastings-on-Hudson Recreation Department is working with the New York Red Bulls and Greenburgh United Soccer on a new soccer program for budding athletes ages three to five. The activities are planned for Tuesdays from Sept. 24 to Oct. 29 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Zinsser Field. Register online or in-person at the James Harmon Community Center.

2. Westchester's "largest chorus" Hudson Chorale is looking for new members this month. Auditions begin in Briarcliff Manor on September 16. More details are here.

3. Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner has provided an update on the plans to connect Westchester's South and North County trails in Elmsford. The County is "currently preparing the design," he said. More information is here.

4. Thursday's skies will be partly cloudy, with temperatures in the low- to mid-70s. There is a 20-percent chance of rain.

5. In Patch blogs, Jerry Eimbinder puts the focus on Ira Berkowitz, a local author who found literary success later in life.
