Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Rivertowns:

1. The Irvington UFSD is looking for parent volunteers to serve on its Dows Lane Site Committee. All interested members must have a child in the district during their two-year terms. Meetings are about 90-minutes-long after school and take place one a month during the school year. Click here for more information about the committee and email elaine.cardea@irvingtonschools.org by today.

2. Dobbs Ferry resident Jim Koeppel is performing live with his band Dust My Blues tonight from 8 to 10 p.m. at Cedar Street Grill. More details are here.

3. The Hastings-on-Hudson Recreation Department has canceled its day trips originally scheduled for today and tomorrow due to low enrollment.

4. Wednesday's weather brings partly-cloudy skies and a 20 percent chance of rain, with temperatures hovering in the mid-eighties.

5. "Quick-Thinking Briarcliff Homeowners Dowse Fire" was yesterday's most-read story.
