Flag Deposit Box Now Available in Hastings-on-Hudson

  1. Recycle Your Flags: The American Legion Post 1195 in Hastings-on-Hudson announced a flag deposit box for disposing retired flags is now available at its Legion Hall at 215 Farragut Avenue. Local residents are encouraged to drop off tattered or weathered flags in the box so that they may be disposed of properly through a flag retirement ceremony, which is held every Flag Day at 5 p.m. at the Legion Hall. If there are any questions, contact the post commander, James Pasanello, at 914-478-0908 or farragutpost1195@gmail.com.
