Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Rivertowns:

1. Hastings-on-Hudson is tackling some street paving from Tuesday through Friday (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.). No parking will be available on Clinton Avenue, Kent Avenue (Ravensdale to Fairmont Avenue), Southgate Avenue (Ravensdale to Fairmont Avenue), James Street (High Street to Thompkins), Burnside Drive (from Broadway) and Burkeley Place while paving is underway.

2. This evening at the Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library, there's a special 'Climate Shift in Your Backyard' event at 7:30 p.m. The free event will feature discussion with Jeff Rappaport, a Manhattan College professor.

3. Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the mid-60s and no rain.

4. Peekskill Police Find Homeless Man with Drugs in Vacant House was among yesterday's most read stories.

5. Patch's Washington D.C. area sites are providing frequent updates on the shooting at a U.S. Navy Yard Monday morning. Follow that story here.
