New Greenburgh Chief to Be Sworn In; Cyber-Bullying Forum Scheduled in White Plains

  • Capt. Chris McNerney, Commanding Officer of the Detective Division of the Greenburgh Police Department, will be sworn into office as the next police chief today at 7:30 p.m. Judge Les Adler, a former Town Councilman, will officiate at the swearing in ceremonies inside Greenburgh town hall, located at 177 Hillside Ave. in Greenburgh. The public is invited to attend the swearing in ceremony, which will be followed by the Town Board meeting. McNerney replaces Chief Joseph DeCarlo, will be retiring as Police Chief at the end of the month.
  • The Irvington Village Board has a work session scheduled 7 p.m.  tonight inside village hall, located at 85 Main St. in Irvington.
  • The Digital Arts Experience and Westchester Mommy are hosting a special panel discussion tonight for parents on ways to prevent their child from being bullied and cyberbullied. The panel will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Digital Arts Experience, located at 170 Hamilton Ave., Suite 100, in White Plains. RSVP to info@WestchesterMommy.com.
