Snow Possible for Morning Commute; JCC Host Cyber-Bullying Workshop in Tarrytown

  • The YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester is hosting “Perspectives on Money and Career for Young Women,” a forum designed to give young women a better perspective on personal finance and help them develop career plans that will help them become financially independent. The workshop takes place at 6 p.m. inside the YWCA, located at 515 North St. in White Plains. Learn more about the forum here.
  • Westchester Jewish Community Services is hosting “Parenting in the Digital Age: Fostering Communication and Connection,” a workshop designed to provide strategies and tools to have an effective conversation with your child about making healthy choices in cyberspace. The keynote speaker is Sharon Charles, LCSW, Margaret's Place Coordinator at Pelham Middle School. The event takes places at Margaret's Place is a partnership of WJCS and The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation. The event takes place begins 7:30 p.m. at JCC on the Hudson, located 371 South Broadway in Tarrytown.

  • Light snow could make today’s morning commute messy, according to the National Weather Service. The precipitation should stop by noon today, leaving the day clear and cold. Highs are expected to be in the low 40s.
