Our Special Kids are doing something really special.
Over the course of this week, our oldest group of boys, "The Mind Jackers," will be collecting pet food to donate to the Hudson Valley Food Pantry.
During the school year, camper Ben Kurtz of Dobbs Ferry contacted me about wanting to give back to the community this summer. Since the community has been so good to us, everyone at Our Victory Day Camp thought this would be a great idea!
The Mind Jackers have already used their nature walk on the Aqueduct Trail as a community service project. Armed with garbage bags, they picked up litter on the trail. Later in the summer, they also plan on holding a clothing collection for those in need.
