JOHN WOLFE TO DIRECT MUSIC AT FIRST BAPTIST

New York City-based organist, choral conductor and music educator, John A. Wolfe, joins First Baptist Church of White Plains as interim music director on October 15. His first Sunday will be October 20.

John has earned favorable reviews in The New York Times and Time Out New York as a featured performer in the Prism Concert Series at Central Synagogue and in T.S. Eliot’s Murder in the Cathedralat St. Joseph’s Church of Our Lord.

Prior to joining First Baptist, John was minister of music at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Christ in Rosedale, Queens and choir director at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Coney Island.

An executive board member of the Brooklyn Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and an honors graduate of Vassar College, John is currently a candidate for a master’s degree in organ performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College.
