Complimentary Technology Seminars For Business Owners

Robert Cioffi, CEO of Progressive Computing (PCI), a computer consulting and network installation, design and maintenance firm serving clients from offices in Westchester County and Manhattan, is presenting a series of educational technology seminars for business owners, hosted at The Microsoft Store at 125 Westchester Ave in White Plains, NY. Each seminar will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 PM and include a question & answer period. Light refreshments will be served. The next in this series of free technology seminars, focusing on IT Security, will take place on October 16, 2013.

At the most recent seminar, Cioffi spoke to 25 business owners and professionals about computing in the Cloud. After defining exactly what it means, he discussed pros and cons, when and if companies should move their data, and how to choose a vendor, among other things. Attendees asked several questions focusing on security and how to get your data out of the Cloud.

“Robert’s comments on Cloud Computing were insightful and timely,” said Sal Vaccaro, Director of Marketing for the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts. “He explained things in a non-computer speak manner which brought the Cloud down to earth. I have already implemented some new procedures based on the common sense, small-business-minded information he presented. I plan on attending as many of these seminars as possible.”
