Ashford Avenue Bridge: Rivertowns' Span Will Be Temporarily Closed on Thursday

The following announcement is from the Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation: 

Motorists are advised that the Ashford Avenue Bridge, connecting Ardsley and Dobbs Ferry, will have one eastbound lane closed between Southfield Avenue and Saw Mill River Road (Route 9A) on Thursday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to noon.

This closure is necessary to conduct emergency bridge repair work and inspections.

A large scale bridge rehabilitation project is planned and expected to be completed in 2017.  That work will be paid for with a combination of federal, state and county funds.
