Report: Westchester County Dominates List of NYC Area's Wealthiest

So this is where the other half lives.

In a new report from BusinessInsider.com, nine of the top 25 wealthiest neighborhoods in the greater New York City area are located in Westchester County.

The Greenhaven section of Rye, with a mean household income of $540,403, is the second-wealthiest nabe outside of NYC behind Greenwich's Golden Triangle, which has a mean household income of $614,242. The triangle is also considered the wealthiest neighborhood in the United States, and Greenhaven is the 10th-wealthiest, according to Business Insider.

Other wealthy Westchester County neighborhoods outside of New York City include the Murray Hill-Heathcote section of Scarsdale (third outside of NYC, 14th in the U.S. with a mean household income of $515,671); the Purchase section of Harrison (fifth, 25th, $464,955) and Sterling Ridge, also in Harrison (sixth, 28th, $454,965).
