Calendar of Events: Irvington Town Hall Theater

Irvington Town Hall Theater announces their 2010-11 season.

The Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) has a lively list of shows coming up this season.  Find out what's playing, when, how much it costs and whether it's recommended to take the kids. 

9/24: London Calling: Live in Hyde Park with Bruce Springsteen

This is a fundraiser to support ITHT's"Best of" Film Series. There will be rock and roll memorabilia up for auction and an after party at the Day Boat Cafe'. This film is a live Bruce Springsteen concert shot at London's Hyde Park in digital sound. General Admission, $30. 8 p.m.

9/25: WJO Tribute to Michael Brecker with Special Guest, Randy Brecker

There will be a pre-concert talk with Randy Brecker at 7:15 p.m. Then, jazz legend Michael Brecker's spirit and music lives on through his brother Randy who will perform many of Michael's songs. Presented by Westchester Jazz Orchestra.  Tickets: $35, adult; $30, seniors 65 and older; $10, Student. 8 p.m.

9/26: Kathak Yatra: Presented by India of Westchester.

$40, orchestra; $20, for balcony and boxes. 4 p.m. 

10/02: Lecture: Deconstructing the Beatles.

This is a multi-media lecture conducted by "A Trip Through Strawberry Fields" composer-producer and Beatles expert Scott Freiman. Freiman transports his audience to the Abbey Road Studio for a look at the revolutionary techniques used during the production of "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Penny Lane," and "A Day In The Life." General Admission: $10. Presented by ITHT Commission.

10/08: Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work.

Theater officials describe this film as a very impressive documentary about the comedienne--who hails originally from Larchmont--and showbusiness.  General Admission: $8.00. Presented by ITHT Commission.

10/09: Aali Thumbkata (Ek Haseena Nakharewali)

VIP Donors: $100 and above; general admission: $25-$50.  Presented by Hindu Temple of Tri-States and Manasi Arts. 6 p.m. 

10/10:  Beatlemania Again & Doug Ferony. 

This concert is advertised as two shows in one night. Doug Ferony performs Sinatra and then there will be a second show, "Beatlemania"  with all the Beatles' greatest hits. General admission: $30. Presented by Doug Ferony. 7 p.m. 

10/15: Franc D'Ambrosio

Best known as the multi-faceted vocalist who played the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Franc D'Ambrosia promises to deliver an intimate evening of Broadway in your backyard. Tickets cost $75 or $100 based on seat location. The Fundraiser will also include a silent auction of products and services. Presented by Center Productions, Inc. 8 p.m. 

10/16: Stars on the Hudson

This will be a star-studded gala to benefit the Clocktower Players theater group. Emmy-Award winning TV journalist Jon Scott and Emmy-Award winning actress Jane Alexander will be joined by broadway greats for an exciting close-up and intimate evening.   $500 - Autumn Gala Angel; $200-Platinum Star Supporter; $75 - Gold Star Supporter; $50 - Silver Star Supporter. Presented by Irvington Town Hall Theater Foundation. 8 p.m. 

10/20: The Secret In Their Eyes.

Presented by ITHT Commission. General Admission $8.00. 8 pm

10/22: History Cab 

Admission is free but a ticket is required. Tickets are available at the box office and the Historical Society after September 7. 7 p.m.

10/23: The Rascals  

Legendary rockers the Rascals and  founder and leader Felix Cavaliere will have you singing along to such hits as "Good Lovin'," "Groovin," "People Got To Be Free," "A Beautiful Morning," "I've Been Lonely Too Long," "A Girl Like You,"  and more. Ticket prices vary based on seating. 8 p.m.

10/24: The Spirit of Jazz. 

Tickets $35. Presented by Phelps Hospice. 3 p.m. 

10/31: Let The Right One In.

General Admission $8.00. Presented by ITHT Commission. 8 p.m.

11/06-11-14: Cinderella

$28 Adult; $20 Senior/Student. Presented by the Clocktower Players Adult Troupe.  2 and 7:30 p.m.

11/19 - 11/21: The Drowsy Chaperone

$20 Adult; $14 Senior/Student. Presented by Broadway Training Center. 3 p.m and 7 p.m. 

12/03: Judy Collins

Westco is pleased to announce the return engagement of Judy Collins.  Collins' previous concerts at Irvington sold-out quickly, so the theater urges you to order your tickets early. Ticket prices range from $55 to $100 based on seat location. 8 p.m.

12/04: WJO Trumpet Masters: Music of Miles, Pops, and Dizzy

12/05: The Broadway All-Star Holiday Concert

$45, adult; $40, senior/student. Presented by Leftfield Productions. 7:30 p.m. 

12/10: Bach Meets Bebop

$28 all seats. Presented by RiverArts.  8 p.m. 

12/11-12/12: Frog and Toad 

$15, adult; $10, senior/student. Presented by Clocktower Players Kids Troupe. 12:30 p.m. 

12/11:  The Subdudes

$40, all seats. Presented by The Mainstage. 8 p.m. 

12/12:  Sutton Foster

Foster is one of Broadway's brightest stars who won: Tony, Drama Desk, Critics Circle and Astaire awards as best actress for her role as Millie in Thouroughly Modern Millie. She was recently seen as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical and will now be here at ITHT for an evening of Broadway tunes.

Michael Rafter will be her accompaniest. Presented by Westco Productions Gold Star Concerts. Seat pices range from $35 - $50. 7:3o p.m. 

12/17-12/19: Winter in NYC

Presented by Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts Center.$18, Adult; $15, Seniors and $12, students. 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.
