"Alternative Photography," digitally enhanced photographs by Lev Gogish will be on exhibit at the Irvington Library from November 3 to November 30, 2011. Lev Gogish, Dr. Sc., Ph.D travelled the world as a complex systems analyst in aero-space technology in the former Soviet Union, and for his work in the United States for NYNEX and Bell Atlantic. These photographs are his impressions of the places he visited - not just a documentation of the physical. Each print has been creatively edited and enhanced, so only a suggestion of the original location remains. There will be an Opening Reception on Saturday, November 5, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lev Gogish looks forward to hearing your opinion of his work.
The Irvington Public Library is located at 12 South Astor Street, Irvington. Gallery hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays and on Thanksgiving Day.
