Krishna Das' Kirtan - Benefit for Tibetan Home of Hope

Via Irvington Town Hall Theater:

Tibetan Home of Hope is a nonsectarian home and school for children who would otherwise be abandoned in Chinese-occupied Tibet. Committed to nurturing, educating and preserving the future of Tibetans in their homeland, THH provides children with loving care, education, food, shelter, medical attention and the life skills needed to develop into independent adults with a full appreciation of their Tibetan heritage.

Join Krishna Das and friends for an evening of kirtan chanting, devotion, and heartfelt community. Krishna Das’ signature chanting style is profound and joyous, a balm to our hearts. Kirtan chanting is the ancient practice of call-and-response singing the mantras of the Divine Name. He travels the world, leading call-and-response kirtans and sharing this deep, experiential practice with thousands of people.

Tibetan Home of Hope and its founder Tashi Dolma would like to thank Krishna Das for his continued dedication and support.

“When we gather together to sing like this we are helping each other find our own paths.... All these paths wander on in their own way, but in truth we are all traveling together and until the last of us arrives we will all keep traveling. So let's sing!” - Krishna Das
