LISA P. OSWALD EXHIBITS MONOTYPES AT JUNIPER IN HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY
Lisa P. Oswald of Hastings-On-Hudson is exhibiting a collection of her recent monotypes at Juniper Restaurant in Hastings-On-Hudson through April 15, 2012. The art on exhibit includes contemporary interpretations of the figure.
Oswald’s work presents a decidedly modern twist on the figure. Highly abstracted, somewhat ambiguous and often provocative, her work blurs the line between how we see ourselves versus the way others see us.
“While there are accepted notions of beauty and form, to my eye, there are infinite numbers of ways to represent the power, strength and spirit of women.”
