RiverArts presents Living Shakespeare at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Conversation with Terrence O’Brien, Artistic Director, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and Carrie Barron, MD, “The Creativity Cure.”

Carrie Barron, psychiatrist and author of “The Creativity Cure,” returns to RiverArts for a provocative conversation on creative process with Terrence O’Brien, Founding Artistic Director of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. O’Brien’s spontaneous, spare, freewheeling and distinctly American playing style focuses energy and resources on script, actors, and audience. Described by Terry Teachout  of the Wall Street Journal as “an artistic enterprise that gets everything right,” HVSF challenges audiences to take a fresh look at what is essential in Shakespeare’s plays.   Terrence reveals his creative process, and how his actors engage with their audience to create a live performance.
