Second Annual Westchester Poetry Festival!

On Saturday, March 31, The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center will join forces with The Masters School (Dobbs Ferry) in presenting the 2nd Annual Westchester Poetry Festival.  This year’s festival – a one-of-a-kind event - features poetry readings, workshops, student performances, and lectures, and is sure to inspire and delight everyone. Participating poets include Deborah Poe, Anne-Marie Fyfe, Jane Collins, Uche Nduka, Jennifer Franklin, Floyd Chung, Quincy Lehr, Yibing Huang, Ana Bozicevic, and lyricist and performer Bill Kelly, joined by Masters alumnae songwriters Alexa Wilding and Sinem Saniye. Renowned poet Rigoberto Gonzalez headlines the event and gives a reading to launch the festivities. With several song writers and international poets among the participants, this year’s festival celebrates international collaboration as well as the richness of lyrical poetry. And, thanks to a Special Needs Grant awarded to The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center from ArtsWestchester, many of the presentations will be signed by American Sign Language interpreter Mara Zuckerman.
