Hastings-on-Hudson Farmers Market

Where/When: Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library Parking Lot, 7 Maple Ave., Hastings-on-Hudson; Saturdays from June through Novemeber; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A Cat in Paris

Where/When: on Friday, Sept. 1 through Sept. 3 at 12 p.m. (also showing Sept. 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, and 30 at 12 p.m.)

Why go: Check out this Oscar-nominated animated film with the whole family over the weekend. Part of JBFC's "Movies for Kids and Their Families" series, the 65-minute G-rated film follows the life of a cat named Dino, who leads a double life.

Pricing: $11 adult nonmembers; $6 adult members; $6.50 kids

Where/When:  on Saturday, Sept. 1 through Monday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why go: Philipsburg Manor is celebrating the history and culture of local Native American residents through song, storytelling, dance, games and more. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.hudsonvalley.org.

Pricing: $14 adults; $12 seniors; $8 children three to 17; free for members and children under age 3

Where/When:  on Friday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy one of the last days of summer with the final waterfront concert in Ossining on Friday. Local musicians Mike and Miriam Risko will perform. This event is weather-permitting.

Pricing: Free

Playland Fireworks Finale

Where/When: on Friday, Aug. 31 at 9:15 p.m.

Why go: Head to the historic amusement park for the final fireworks show of the summer season. Check out what else is going on at Playlnd here.

Pricing: $5 parking per car

Captain Lawrence Trivia Night

Where/When: Captain Lawrence Brewing Company (444 Saw Mill River Rd., Elmsford) on Thursday, Aug. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Why go: Join The 's Nick and Austin for Thursda Night Trivia in the Captain Lawrence Tasting Room. This week's edition will be beer-hunter themed. Sign up your team of up to six people in advance by emailing info@captainlawrencebrewing.com. Beer and food will be available for purchase. Earn prizes each round leading up to the Golden Keg grand prize.

Where/When:  on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.

Why go: Head up to Putnam County this Labor Day weekend for an afternoon and evening of food and film fit for the whole family. The "Food Fest" portion of the day lasts from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be live entertainment including live music and a juggler before the short films are shown under the stars. Where/When:  on Monday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why go: Dozens of antiques dealers will have antiques and collectibles on display. The Friends of Lasdon will also be holding a plant sale and Gary Dillon will be holding a signing. Food will be available for purchase. Bring items for appraisal between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. ($5 each).
