Friends and fans alike were literally in for a treat this weekend as Vinny Deponto presented "Mysterious Delights", his new one-man show. DePonto, a professional magician known as Vanishing Vinny, is a Dobbs Ferry native and chose the Historic Mead House on Elm Street as the location for his three-night performance.
DePonto presented all of the latest tricks he had up his sleeve to three sold-out shows that focused on the wonders of close-up, sleight of hand magic. The intimate performance was fit for the atmosphere of the The Mead House and it's parlor room.
"I love the idea of back in the early 1900's where a magician would come to your house and set up in the parlor" "The parlor was the living room, the room everyone would gather in."
While Vanishing Vinny also performs for children, "Mysterious Delights" was hosted for an 18+ audience that could hardly contain themselves from laughing and interacting with the performer. The audience was left left with open jaws on numerous occasions with whispers being heard of 'how did he do that?'.
