Monday, Tuesday: HBO Pilot Films in Downtown Hastings

Home Box Office (HBO)'s television crews are were busy setting up props and signs in downtown Hastings this morning.

Prts of the downtown, including Main Street and Warburton Avenue, will be featured in a pilot for a new show called The Leftovers.

Much of the upper part of Main Street is already blocked off, while police are directing vehicles around Warburton Avenue and Spring Street as crews set up.

According to the village's website, Main Street from Five Corns to Whitman Street will be closed until 8 p.m. today. The remainder of Main Street, Spring Street and Boulanger Plaza will be closed from 2 to 8 p.m.

Some meters have no parking signs up today and tomorrow.

On Tuesday, Spring Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

According to a report on a Deadline.com, the series is set to star Justin Theroux and Liv Tyler.

"...the project takes place after the Rapture happens but not quite like it’s supposed to. It is the story of the people who didn’t make the cut… and a world that will never be the same," according to the report.
