Spiritual Healer Drawn to Rivertowns' Energy

Francine Vale will begin hosting monthly group healing meditation sessions at Human Bodyworks in Hastings-on-Hudson from 7-9 p.m. beginning Sept. 14.

Since 1991, Francine Vale has officially described herself as a healer.  She was formerly reluctant to speak of herself this way, though she became aware of her spiritual healing gift when she was very young.

"Unofficially, without exactly identifying myself that way, I was bringing healing energy through the power of love all of my life," Vale said. "When I was 3 years old, I had an angelic visitation.  The angel described to me how much love was needed everywhere, and even in my home with my own parents.  I knew then that the most important thing in my life was going to be bringing love through in a healing way."

As an adult, through her professional and personal interactions, Vale often found herself listening to others and reaching out.  "I didn't know how to focus my ability in a professional way, but I did have the ability to listen and to truly care about a person, and that would have the effect of bringing calm and peace to people."

In 1991, Francine was visited by her spirit guide.  "He looked like a person infused with light.  As he came closer, I rose up.  I rose up in my spiritual body.  When he embraced me, I felt that he knew me better than anyone had in my whole life," she said.

Vale discovered a new life calling through her connection with her spirit guide.  "He taught me who I was, where I came from, and what my mission was on earth.  My mind was overflowing with questions!"

She decided then that the remainder of her life would be dedicated to helping others to heal.

The first time that Francine healed another person, it was a distance healing.  She thought of a woman she knew who needed healing.  "I held the image of a golden healing light all around her.  The very next day, I got a phone call and this woman told me about her appointment with an endocrinologist.  She was healed, and he was writing her up in a medical journal.  She was able to go off of a medication that people are normally supposed to take for a lifetime."

In spite of an occasional miraculous healing like this first experience, Vale insists that she is not a one-shot faith healer.  "I am not just a healer like what you see on television, where a minister touches someone and it is very dramatic.  With me it's about the person becoming self-empowered and finding his or her own way to heal--and in that way becoming a stronger person.  I work with the whole person, mind, body and spirit."

Even when Vale helps someone through healing a physical ailment, changes begin to occur on other levels.  "Other things start to happen in their lives.  They open up to a new way of being in the world.  That's the way the healing works.  Sometimes it will address what you are looking for, and then it might address something else that you didn't know you were looking for, which might be emotional."

Spiritual healing requires a high level of personal dedication and ongoing work to improve the self.  "To do this work, you have to be as pure as you can be, so that when the divine essence is coming through you it comes out as purely as it came into you," Vale said. "That means you don't have judgments or negative thoughts about people.  You hold people in a place of unconditional love.  It's not just talking the talk, it's walking the walk.  That's who I have tried to be as much as possible, living in this world."

Although she presently resides in Scarsdale, Francine enjoys spending time in the Rivertowns.  Describing their distinct energy, she said: "From Yonkers to Hastings to Dobbs Ferry, all of it.  What goes on inland changes quite a lot.  Hastings is a very spiritual place.  It is a small town and there is a lot of spiritual energy there.  People who live there hold that energy.  I would say to anyone who is looking to get out of the city to look in the rivertowns.  Whether you are single or married with kids, it is good for everyone.  Independent people can still go out by themselves and not feel strange.  I have nothing but good things to say about every single rivertown, all the way up to Cold Spring!"

Vale leads Guided Angelic Healing Meditation sessions.  She generally does not work in commercial venues.  She has worked with individuals and small groups in private locations.  "I have had lots of different venues ask me to do spiritual nights, but to me that would seem like a lark."

However, with the aim of opening up her work to more people she believes need it, Vale will begin hosting monthly group healing meditation sessions at Human Bodyworks in Hastings-on-Hudson on September 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  "People who are attracted to angelic energy will come, because that is basically the heart of it."
