Let's ask FEMA to let us move into our office cubicles!

 I left work on Friday assuming that the office would be closed Monday and Tuesday, and so it was.  After settling the kids at nana and pop, and leaving my dogs in the cool dim powerless house (and my husband in the wifi enhanced lobby of a hotel on 119) here I finally am in my nice, warm, well-lit, internet-connected office in Valhalla.    It even has a working land line!  And, my cellphone has reception here!

My office has no windows, and it measures about 12 feet by 8 feet.  But really, if we move the furniture around we can fit four sleeping bags in here, and maybe they can make an exception for my dogs.

I don't mind going back to our house to shower, for some odd reason our water heater keeps working throughout the power outage.  I have to say a hot shower in a cold house with just daylight to light the room is somehow....atmospheric?  It's like a spa in a bunker.

Anyone else happy to be able to get to their office today?
