Dobbs Ferry Walgreens Opens for Business

The new business, located near the Ashford Avenue/Broadway intersection, has its shelves stocked this week.

The controversial Ashford Avenue store/pharmacy is now open for business.

Walgreens latest Rivertowns location opened its doors on August 6, according to signage on the front door.

The structure includes an adjacent parking lot and new sidewalk along Ashford Avenue; along with office space above the brick store.

While the store portion of Walgreens completely accessible, its pharmacy is not expected to be open until later this week.

Dobbs Ferry Mayor Hartley Connett previously praised the building's "impressive" design, though some residents have been opposed to the national corporation's footprint in a gateway to the village.

Walgreens hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
