Hastings' Le Draoulec Brings Back the Phelps Farmers Market

Farmers Market maven Pascale Le Draoulec is bringing back farm fresh offerings, this time at Rockwood Hall in Sleepy Hollow.

With a new location and additional vendors, the Phelps Farmers Market—now rebranded as "Phelps Farmers Market at the Park"—is back on Thursday, July 11.

The market has moved to the Rockwood Hall area of Rockefeller State Park, right at the end of Route 117 in Sleepy Hollow.

"We are all about promoting good health," Phelps Senior Vice President Daniel Blum said in a statement, "and good health starts with good food. The market was so popular last year, we wanted to continue to offer our staff and residents of the area convenient mid-week access to farm-fresh produce and other healthy foods."

Pascale Le Draoulec, a Hastings resident who also operates the Chappaqua and Irvington markets, will be managing the hospital-sponsored market again this year.

Returning vendors include favorites like True Food and Wright's Apple Farm, while new additions at Phelps span from Red Barn Bakery's organic baked goods to Black Forest Flammkuchen Co.'s thin crust pizzas and R&G Produce's seasonal fare.

According to a press release from the market, there will also be a number of rotating vendors this year, including Penny Lick Ice Cream's cart, Clean Ridge Soap Company and the Bronx Baking company, "famous for their bacon-wrapped pretzels."

The market will be in full swing every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November. Free parking is available in the Rockwood Hall lot.
