Hudson Valley Lotto Winners Rejoice in Yonkers [VIDEO]

Winning three jackpots worth $1 million or more, David Doyle, Barbara Sherrod and Allen Martin received their over-sized checks from New York Lottery's Yolanda Vega on Wednesday at Empire City Casino in Yonkers.

Smiling ear to ear and even feeling a bit uneasy from their new found fortunes, three New York Lottery jackpot winners converged on Empire City Casino in Yonkers for a ceremony in their honor.

David Doyle of Rhinebeck in Dutchess County, Barbara Sherrod of Mount Vernon and Allen Martin of Scarsdale were the newest lottery millionaires, with Doyle and Sherrod both winning their jackpots on the same lotto scratch off game called the $5 million Multiplier Ticket.

"All I've done so far with the money is I went out and bought a new toilet seat, you know the one that closes on its own," joked Doyle who was joined with his wife and son for the ceremony.

The retiree says that he hopes to do some home improvements with his $1 million prize, which pays out a lump sum of $661,800.

Visiting what she calls her "regular lotto store", Sherrod also got lucky on a scratch-off game and says that a long vacation is in order.

"I'm gonna be vacationing, paying bills and making some investments," said Sherrod, who actually was the biggest winner out of the three, winning a $5 million prize, netting her a lump sum payout of $3,309,000.

The third lottery winner of the day was running errands back in September when he stopped in the Tanglewood Stationary Store on Central Park Ave. in Yonkers to buy a ticket for the next evening's Powerball jackpot of $131 million.

Martin had the first five numbers correct, but missed the powerball jackpot, still earning him a cool $1 million prize, which he also opted to take the lump sum payout of $661,800.

"I kept checking the numbers over and over because things like this don't happen every day," stated Martin who continued that, "I plan to simply put the money away until I find a way to spend it."
