JKFlashy Orchestrates Big Bridal Photo Shoot

Tarrytown's Hudson Harbor development had a horse, a Rolls Royce, a stretch pink Cooper limo, and 13 brides on Monday.

On Monday, Tarrytown’s Hudson Harbor was thumping with loud music and teaming with horses, fancy cars, and 13 white-gowned brides.

What might appear to be some strange mass wedding, was really the work of Jill Imbrogno, owner of JKFlashy Makeup Service, who, with the collaboration of numerous entrepreneurs, coordinated what she called, “one of the most unique photo shoots in advertising history.”

Imbrogno and Ricky Restiano, owner of Ricky Restiano Photography in Bronxville, put a call out on Facebook asking for real women to pose as brides for a luxurious day of getting made up and strutting their stuff through the Hudson Homes complex. Filling out the scene with food, dresses and ambience were a ton of area business people who would be able to showcase their goods and expertise in the campaign as well.

"I never dreamed of the overwhelming support we received to create this special event,” Imbrogno said.

This is the second annual campaign of its kind (the first was at a mansion in Harrison) and Imbrogno, who said she has a "habit of going BIG," certainly topped herself this time.

When I found them, they had taken over the lofty Hudson Harbor Club House, where, against the backdrop of DJ Jimmy Dee of White Plains’ loud dance music, brides were getting dressed, buffed and glittered as they nibbled on buffet fare and just waited for the next round of shooting.

Sadly the horses were already departing for the day, but I was able to gawk at the amazing stretch pink Cooper limo parked in front with the classic silver Rolls Royce.

Imbrogno was her usual bubbly self, brimming with energy. Despite all she must have to take care of at such a complicated photo shoot, she was all smiles and long eyelashes, just like her bevvy of brides.

The place was swarming with gorgeous brides, some of whom used Imbrogno for their own weddings, and everyone pulling strings behind the scenes: five makeup artists, four photographers, three hair stylists from Salon Posh in Mamaroneck,  the DJ, event coordinator Luxe Evets, Video from Strictly Video in New Rochelle, PR from Creative, Concepts and Connections in Bronxville.

Dresses came care of Fontana Bridal Salon in Greenwich, CT, the Rolls Royce and stretch limo from Silver Star Limousine in Yonkers, Scarsdale La Renaissance was responsible for the baked goods and wedding cakes, catering came from Westchester Burger in White Plains, and finallly horses from Jerry Iodice.

They had also been using the so-called Westchester Dream Home, a fully appointed Carriage House nearby, along with the grounds, and now the Club House.

Imbrogno’s posted several blogs on Patch leading up to the big day, which you can read here and here.

And the icing on the cake: the end result of the ad campaign, whose images will not be released until February 7 at Westchester Magazine’s Unveiled Bridal Show at the VIP Country Club, will be that one lucky bride-to-be will receive a free wedding.

The letter does not seem to mention if they have personal experience as an educator or as a parentRead More with kids now, kids past years or kids future years in the Irvington School District. Sometimes the perspective is different if you have lived the experience with kids in the Irvington School District. I have three kids -- one graduate last year and is at Cornell University, one is grade nine and one is grade three. All three got great teachers, small class size and extra help or enrichment as needed. I think the arts programs can be expanded -- music, drama, fine arts (both in classes and electives plus stipends to pay teachers for clubs and after school activities). However, this is a school district that values having small class size and keeping strong all the academics core subjects required for graduation and college plus making a priority sports opportunities middle school through high schools at all levels and types of sports. If you are high achiever it works grades k-12; if you are a child with special education needs or learning issues needs or extra help needs it works too. The average student is the one who is often forgotten in Irvington School District since they just do their thing in school, after school activities and move from grade to grade uneventful but nothing that will be memorable at least in my experience.

The problem has always been skyrocketing costs- bamacare does absolutely nothing to address costs.Read More It is a complete scam that will only add to the uninsured because it makes employers accelerate dropping employer sponsored healthcare- dumping even more people into the arms of the government disaster.

When employers are offering less and less health insurance, more people are self insured orRead More uninsured and are restricted to buying policies as individuals. With the cost at over $ 1,500 per month for standard, full coverage for a family of 4, it is no wonder there are so many uninsured or partially insured ( emergency/hospital care only).
