Top Expert to Describe Tapas-and-Wine Pairings at Orissa Thursday
Jazz music makers Mark Morganelli and John Hart will entertain.
Orissa Modern Indian Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry will continue its wine-coupled prix-fixe tapas and tasting dinner series on Thursday, June 21 with jazz and Brazilian music provided by Dobbs Ferry resident Mark Morganelli, performing at flugelhorn and percussion, and accompanied by John Hart on guitar. The tasting dinner will include Orissa Paella (basmati rice, saffron, chicken, mussels, shrimp and calamari).
Sommelier Girish Mhatre will be on hand to describe the wines and answer questions. Mhatre, who is the owner of the Good Earth Winery in the Nashik Valley of India, will serve flights of Aarohi Savignon Blanc (2010), Brio Shiraz (2009), and Basso Cabernet Sauvignon (2008).
