Stop & Shop Works on Landscape Improvements

As a condition of its site plan approval, the Dobbs Ferry grocery store must continue to improve landscaping around the building.

Mayor Hartley Connett shared in a recent update that the new Stop & Shop's management is continuing to fulfill a condition of its site plan approval.

He shared: "New clearing and landscape work is now being done along Walgrove Avenue. This will include a clearing of the thick and invasive shrub brush (much of which is poison ivy) running along and extending into the roadway (and climbing the wires and utility poles)."

Once the greenery in the area is improved, "Stop & Shop’s landscapers will be installing a new attractive fence along that portion of the property along with new tree plantings including evergreens," the Mayor wrote." When this work is completed it will be a big upgrade to the street and community closest to the property."
