Zuckerberg, Wife Give $992 Million to Charity, Lead All U.S. Donors

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan top a list of the U.S.A.'s biggest charitable donors, reports the LA Times. 

They gave $992.2 million to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in San Mateo in 2013, the paper reported. 

The annual list, compiled by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, also includes this detail: Zuckerberg and Chan stand out for another reason: they're much younger than everyone else on the list. In fact, there hasn't been a generational shift among the super-charitable, where the median age is over 72.
