Sales Office Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown Wins Prestigious Hilton Worldwide Award

Hilton Worldwide has honored Celeste Reeves, Sales Office Manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown, with the ”Spirit of CARE” award. The prestigious honor designates Reeves as a top performer within DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels. 

Nominated by their peers because of exemplary loyalty, attitude and service, the chosen team members continually exceed expectations of both customers and fellow team members. Less than one percent of all DoubleTree by Hilton team members nationwide receive this honor each year.

Reeves was notified of the honor by a surprise phone call from a Hilton Worldwide brand executive during a weekly staff meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown. The announcement also coincided with an equally surprise birthday celebration held in her honor.

Reeves was nominated for the award by her peers after proving to be an exceptional role model.  “Reeves continues to make outstanding contributions to guests and team members, showing great enthusiasm in all areas of her work,” said Rich Friedman, the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown’s General Manager. “We are proud of her recognition as a “Spirit of CARE” winner, the company’s most prestigious team member award.  Employees like Reeves create a welcoming and exceptional experience for guests which impacts other team members and creates a domino effect of great service. ”

Friedman noted that Reeves represents the true “Spirit of CARE”.  Employed by the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown since 2007, “she has gone above and beyond for every guest. We are constantly receiving letters and e-mails about her amazing customer service and genuine concern for people,” explained Friedman. That concern has included her strong commitment to her church and Bronx community where she lives. Among the activities she spearheads is hosting a monthly dinner in her home for more than 40 economically disadvantaged youth as well as a traditional Thanksgiving meal for the children.

In addition to raising four of her own children, Reeves over the years has been a mother to more than 40 foster children. She also participates in the annual Breast Cancer Walk and organizes the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown’s annual children’s holiday party. “There are not many people in the world like Celeste Reeves,” Friedman stated.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels, which has 50,000 employees and more than 280 hotels worldwide, recognizes less than 100 employees a year with the “Spirit of Care” honor.
