'A Christmas Carol' Performed at Old Dutch Church [PHOTOS]

Storyteller Jonathan Kruk tells classic tale at historic site.

The audience was packed into the pews of the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, singing Christmas songs led by musician Jim Keys on guitar. Revelers collectively laughed as they struggled to get through all the verses of "The 12 Days of Christmas," some singing "pipers piping" instead of "drummers drumming." "Really???" asked Keys as everyone chucked.

Keys then took to playing the church organ in the balcony as Hudson Valley storyteller Jonathan Kruk entered the room dressed in his familiar top hat, his voice booming through the church as he greeted the crowd.

Kruk performed the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol," bringing to life the characters of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, delighting the crowd who listened and watched intently to Kruk's animated storytelling.

Kruk will also perform at the church each Sunday in December.
