The GM property unlocked its gates Sunday to allow access to its usually off-limits property between Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow and Horan's Landing on the Tarrytown border.
Residents and visitors from the area took advantage by walking, jogging, bicycling, rollerblading and skateboarding.
The Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse was open for tours between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. adding another site to see along the way. The access will also be open on Aug. 19 and Sept. 9.
