A History of Impressionism

A brief introduction to the Impressionism movement which begins with the Realist precursors Gustave Courbet and Édouard Manet and highlights the principal members: Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Berthe Morisot, Alfred Sisley and Gustave Caillebotte. Instructor: Beth S. Gersh-Nesic, Ph.D., an art historian and director of the New York Arts Exchange, an arts education service, and she teaches art history at Purchase College and Mercy College.
