Community Corner

An Evening with Hudson Riverkeeper Paul Gallay

Hudson Riverkeeper Paul Gallay speaks as part of the Tarrytown Environmental Advisory Council (TEAC) lecture series.

For nearly 50 years, Riverkeeper has served as the protector of some
of New York’s most precious water resources. Through community
engagement and the use of sound science, Riverkeeper has been able to
drive reinvestment in aging infrastructure, influence energy policy and
stall harmful proposals such as a desalination plant on the Hudson or
hydraulic fracturing in New York State. Protecting waters at the local
level requires a dedicated and empowered community, willing to fight for
their right to fishable, swimmable and drinkable water.
