Cheese Night Out with Greetings From Anywhere

Calling all Cheeselovers!
Get Educated on Good Cheese. Enjoy Some Live Music.
Dare we say, have some fun for a change?
It's Friday...time to tend to your inner food muse. But, why should
that require a trip to the city, a high priced venue and worst of all,
NO FUN!?!? You need to taste some really awesome gourmet cheese (with
someone guiding you on what and how to enjoy what you're tasting) and
you need some cool people with whom you like to laugh and learn. Enter
Curious-on-Hudson (The Venue), Nancy Vuletic (The Cheese Consultant) and
Greetings from Anywhere (The Band).

Whether you're an Epoisses expert or a Roquefort rookie, Cheese Night

Out is where you want to be Friday, March 07.  We'll walk you through a

tasting of six families of cheese--from fresh to bloomy to blue and

everything in between--so that you leave armed with the knowledge you

need to approach even the most daunting of cheese counters and create a

perfect cheese course of your own. Every cheese has a story, and we’ll

explore each one on a plate of our favorite cheeses at peak perfection.

B.Y.O.B. if you want to taste with your own preferred wine. We'll have

other refreshments available and we've got glasses and openers.

But why stop there? We've got a great band performing that night,
starting up about 8:30 PM. So, after the cheese has been given its due,
you can hang out, dance and just enjoy yourself with the spirited music
of GREETINGS FROM ANYWHERE.  (If you just want to come hear the band,
you can show up at 8:30 and pay a door fee of $10.00 per person.)

Formed in 2007, Greetings From Anywhere blends folk, blues, bluegrass

and country into a unique roots-rock hybrid, performing with the gritty,

impromptu abandon of a good-old-time garage band. Veterans of the

Hudson Valley pub and festival circuit, GFA features a diverse array of

original tunes alongside reinterpreted feel-good covers . The band's

coming off a successful run of shows in NYC this past fall and winter

and is excited to perform for a hometown crowd at Curious-on-Hudson!

GFA is comprised of Sheila Noonan-Gorham & Andrew Schriever on

acoustic guitars and vocals, Doug Schneider on drums, Adam Friedman on

bass, Michael Chatham on baritone guitar, blues harp and dobro and Liz

Mackanesi on fiddle.
