The Jay Brandford Tentet is a world class jazz band comprised of first rate musicians from around the New York City area.The collective experience of these players ranges from the finest jazz clubs in New York to Lincoln Center to Broadway to concert venues around the world.
Jay Brandford is well-known to Westchester jazz fans as the lead alto saxophonist for the Westchester Jazz Orchestra. He also performs in New York and around the world with the Ron carter Big Band, the Dave Liebman Big Band and many others.
The Tentet will perform original music by Jay Brandford as well as new arrangements of jazz compositions by Horace Silver, Sonny Stitt and John Coltrane. Classic American standard songs such as Stardust and Alexander's Ragtime Band get imaginative new treatments.
