MEET CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED AUTHOR, MARK RUSS FEDERMAN, IN DOBBS FERRY ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 27

Mark Russ Federman will speak about his
newest book, Russ & Daughters:  Reflections and Recipes from the
House that Herring Built
at the Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry on
Sunday October 27 at 10:00 am.  This program, sponsored by Sisterhood GHC,
is open to all and is free of charge. Books will be available for sale and
signing. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made online at www.g-h-c.org/brunch.

Mark
Russ Federman, grandson of founder Joel Russ, took over the running of Russ
& Daughters from his parents in 1978 and turned it over to the fourth

generation, his daughter, Niki, and nephew Josh, in 2009. He has appeared

individually and on panels at the Smithsonian Institution, the Museum of the
City of New York, The New York Public Library, and the conference of the

Association of Food Journalists, among other venues. Mark and Russ &

Daughters were most recently featured on the PBS documentary The Jews of New
York;
on Lidia Bastianich’s PBS series Lidia Celebrates America; and

on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. Russ & Daughters is located

Sisterhood
GHC, provides support to the entire Greenburgh Hebrew Center family and other
worthy causes. With approximately 180 members, Sisterhood presents Brunches,
Mah Jongg games and other activities, with a special emphasis on the Women of
GHC. It is a participating member of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.
The Greenburgh Hebrew Center is a Conservative egalitarian congregation with
over 300 member families, serving the Rivertowns, Scarsdale, Hartsdale, White
Plains, New Rochelle and Yonkers. It is located at 515 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry.
