One Shot Turkish Cooking Class

of Westchester and the Dobbs Ferry Public Library Present: A ONE-SHOT
TURKISH COOKING CLASS! In one afternoon learn to prepare Turkish appetizers
and dessert for family & friends!You will learn to make Sigara Boregi (Spring
Rolls): Sigara boregi is
a Turkish cigar shaped pastry made with feta cheese and phyllo dough. This
fried pastry is perfect with coffee, but can be eaten as an appetizer or side
dish. Kisir (Tabouli- Bulgur Wheat Salad): Kisir is just like tabbouleh but much spicier.
Made with a red pepper paste, it's almost like couscous, but with a kick. It is
served with pita as an appetizer, a snack, or a small meal. Lastly,
you will learn to create Muhallebi, a traditional Turkish milk pudding for
desert. Muhallebi

pudding is thickened with rice flour and is garnished with rose water and nuts.

This version uses fresh oregano, which gives it a mysterious and captivating

flavor, complimented with dried cherries and raisins. One can top it with fresh
