"Pope Julius II and the Sistine Chapel" @ the Irvington Public Library

Toni McKeen
returns to the Irvington Public Library with a Powerpoint lecture about
"Pope Julius and the Sistine Chapel" on Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m.
Michelango was recruited by Pope Julius II to paint the ceiling of the
Sistine Chapel, but Michelangelo did not want the commission.
Michelangelo considered himself a better sculptor than a painter, and
tried to convince the Pope to hire Raphael to paint the ceiling,
instead. Please phone the library to register for this free program.
