Renowned Poet to Keynote 4th Annual Westchester Poetry Festival on Saturday
The 4th Annual Westchester Poetry Festival, co-sponsored by The Masters School and The Hudson Valley Writers' Center, will take place on April 12 from 1 -5:30 pm in historic Estherwood Mansion on The Masters School campus. Ann Lauterbach will deliver the keynote reading at the festival. Lauterbach is the author of many poetry collections, including "Under the Sign" and "Or to Begin Again", which was nominated for the National Book Award. Attendees also will hear readings by acclaimed poets including Cahal Dallat, Cornelius Eady, Dorothea Lasky, Margo Stever, Monica Youn and Kevin Varrone. The afternoon will close with student readings followed by a performance by "poetry's house band," a musical septet otherwise known as Cornelius Eady's "Rough Magic." Admission and parking at the festival, which is open to the public, are free. High school students and adults are welcome to attend.
