Celebrate Washington Irving's Birthday With a Screening of the film, WASHINGTON IRVING: CITIZEN OF THE WORLD

Washington Irving, author of Rip Van Winkle, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Tales of the Alhambra was born on April 3, 1783.  Come celebrate his birthday at the Irvington Public Library on April 3 at 7:00 pm.  Film maker Karen Kelleher will screen her documentary, "Washington Irving: Citizen of the World."  Afterwards, she will describe the process of making a documentary, and will answer questions about Washington Irving, himself.  Please stop by the Reference desk or telephone 914.591.7840 to register for this free program.
