WHALES, GIANTS OF THE DEEP: FROM THE MAORI WHALE RIDING TRADITION TO THE WHALING INDUSTRY

Bernie Wides, Docent at the American Museum of Natural History, will present this program based upon the recent exhibit at the Museum. This presentation will focus on the latest research about these marine mammals, as well as the central role they have played for thousands of years in human cultures, and the rise in laws protecting whales.
