WJO Swings and Rocks: From ‘Trane to Herbie, Stevie to the Beatles

A runner up for “Best Big Band” in the JazzTimes readers’ poll, the Westchester Jazz Orchestra has made
its mark with “strikingly executed performances” (The New York Times).  For
their only concert in Westchester this season, WJO will play masterworks from
their vast repertoire of commissioned arrangements, including the Beatles’
“Here Comes the Sun,” Stevie Wonder’s “Creepin’,” Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage”
and Tom Jobim’s “Caminhos Cruzados.”
